The stone
Black Marble
- Character
- Limestone recrystallised by heat and pressure over millions of years. Its veining runs through the whole block.
- Living with it
- Calcareous stones are sensitive to acids such as lemon, wine or vinegar. Wipe spills quickly, use coasters and a pH-neutral cleaner. We can advise on sealing.
